Phase 2 Score a Sound

Our Score the Sound pack for Phase 2 has a goal for each of the sounds taught in Phase including the digraphs ch, ff, ll and ss.
 
Ask each pupil to take a turn to pick a football. Can they say the sound it starts with? (pictures for ck,ll and ss have the sound at the end, some ff words will have it in the middle as well as the end).
They will then need to match their football to the correct sound goal.
 
Alternatively each child can have a different sound goal. Turn over or place the picture footballs in a bag. Each child takes a turn and says the sound for the picture on the football. If it matches their goal they can put in their goal. If not the put it back. First one to match all six picture football to their sound goal is the winner.
