Phonics Screening - Alien Roll It, Read It
The aim is for children to make their own alien words using a dice and the chart appropriate to the phase they are working on. There is board for Phase 2, 3 and 5 and a recording sheet. Also includes a page to name the Aliens using the Roll It Read Boards.
How to play:
Roll the dice. Find the number you have rolled on the first box. Chose a sound and write it on your sheet under 1st.
Roll it again and find the number you have rolled in the second box. Chose a sound and write it under 2nd.
Roll it a last time. Find the number you have rolled in the third box. Chose a sound and write in on your sheet under 3rd.
Ask your partner to read your alien word. If they can read it give them a tick. If they can’t give them a X.
Now its your partners turn.
